Oscar Picks

This year I’m going to be writing through the Oscars. I’ll have it on in the background because I’m good at multi-tasking, but it won’t be a typical year where I go to or host a party. At any party here in LA, there is typically an Oscar poll game. So this year, I play it with all of you!

My picks for who I think will win the top awards. (Note it is not who I think should win or deserves to win):

Best Original Screenplay: Midnight in Paris

Best Adapted Screenplay: The Descendants

Best Supporting Actor: Christopher Plummer

Best Supporting Actress: Octavia Spencer

Best Director: Michael Hazanavicius

Best Actress: Viola Davis

Best Actor: Jan Dujardin

Best Picture: The Artist

Of this list, the only one that I see as vulnerable is the actor category because Clooney is so beloved and gives a great performance. But if I were doing a poll this year, these are who I think are most likely to win.
